Information for prospective international degree students

Admissions Criteria for international degree seeking students 

For admission to the University of Education, applicants must have a university entrance qualification.

Please hand in the application form for international degree students as well as

  • authenticated photocopies and authenticated translations of your university entrance qualifications and of the transcripts of previous studies.
  • a language certificate (Admission requirements: DSH II, TestDAF 4x4, or an equivalent language certificate GER C1 minimum). Applications without a language certificate or with a certificate lower than B2 will not be accepted. 

Please do not send the original documents!  

Please hand in all your documents on time. Applications handed in after the application deadline has expired will not be taken into consideration.  

Application deadlines:  

January 15th for the Winter semester (October - February)  

July 15th for the Summer semester (April - July)  

The State of Baden-Württemberg will introduce tuition fees for degree seeking international non-EU students from the winter semester 2017/2018 onwards.

The following students will not be affected:

  • EU and Erasmus member countries citizens
  • students who have received their university entrance qualification in German.
  • students taking part in international exchange programmes of partner institutions
  • refugees
  • students who will start their studies before the winter semester 2017/18
