Information for prospective international degree students

ERASMUS+ and other exchange students are kindly asked to contact us through their International Offices.

Admission criteria for international degree seeking students: 

For admission to the University of Education, applicants must have a university entrance qualification.

Please hand in the application form for international degree students as well as

  • authenticated photocopies and authenticated translations of your university entrance qualifications and of the transcripts of previous studies.
  • a language certificate (admission requirements: DSH II, TestDAF 4x4, or an equivalent language certificate GER C1 minimum). Applications without a language certificate or with a certificate lower than B2 will not be accepted. 

Please do not send the original documents!  

Students from other EU-countries please apply online.

Please hand in all your documents on time. Applications handed in after the application deadline has expired will not be taken into consideration. 
 

Application deadlines:  

January 15th for the winter semester (October - February)  

July 15th for the summer semester (April - July)  

The State of Baden-Württemberg has introduced tuition fees (1500 Euro per semester) for degree seeking international non-EU students in the winter semester 2017/2018.

The following students are not affected:

  • EU and Erasmus member countries citizens
  • students who have received their university entrance qualification in Germany
  • students taking part in international exchange programmes of partner institutions
  • refugees
  • students who started their studies before the winter semester 2017/18
