A lovely piece of Germany: Schwäbisch Gmünd

The largely preserved medieval town of Schwäbisch Gmünd has around 60.000 inhabitants and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage "Roman Limes".

Schwäbisch Gmünd is the ideal place for students who prefer a cosy town with a rich cultural heritage and a magnificent hilly and green landscape.

The urban life of Stuttgart, the capital of South-Western Germany with its museums, theatres, arenas, shopping facilities and famous companies like Daimler or Porsche is only 40 minutes away by train.

German cities and places of interest such as Munich, Nuremberg, Ulm, Würzburg, Augsburg or Lake Constance are great destinations for a day-trip.

Living in Schwäbisch Gmünd is affordable on a student budget. Students can find everything they need for university life. Within walking distance of the University, there is a fully equipped hall of residence where students can find accommodation for a reasonable price and have a chance to get to know fellow students.
